Don't let the price fool you. This is a very well made, smooth operating machinist vice. It has an easy to read protractor on it's swivel base. It's an ideal vise for a bench top milling machine, such as the Wen 33013 milling machine I own. The handle is a breaker bar design and removes to keep it out of the way when working. The vise is very similar to the Kurt vises I use at work, only smaller, which suits my needs in my own shop.

All I wanted for holding power and what I expected from a drill press vise. I thought it would fit the standard groves on a drill press . It doesn't fit the groves on my delta drill press

The handle was a bit over painted, just filed off the excess paint, otherwise a bargain for a really good vise.

For the money it can't be beat!

I've been a tool maker for 27 years. I have 2 mills at home. I also do industrial repair on machine tools for a living.. No it is not a Kurt vise. It is also not $600+. Good value for the money. I have had one mounted for 2 years with no problems, and another one on the way.

quality was very good compared to the price.

This machine vise is of the highest quality and way more than I expected. It's Machined so close on the outside edges that I used emery cloth on them so they wouldn't cut my skin. Very happy.
