It will do the job, But first there's a lot of work to be done. You must tear it all apart, every bit and scrub the hell out of it to get the cosmoline packing grease off of it. After a few hours of that break out the files and take all of the sharp edges off. And after a few more hours of that you need to oil and grease the lead screw and thrust bearings, then after that you get to start lapping the swivel base to true up the mating surfaces before you can think of bolting to your mill table. My time is money, and I'm invested deep before I can even use it. Yes after all of that it's a damn good mill vise.
