This is a pretty decent vise for a light weight milling machine or drill press. if you have a medium to larger machine, the castings are a little thin for agressive cutting. As compared to my Kurt, there is maybe 60% as much metal in the vise, which does translate to less strength.
If you are using a standard bridgeport style mill the will probably be a solid choice. if you have a 7hp+ cnc, you may be able to break the vise with a heavy cut or at minimum experience some flexing that may cause trouble.
In terms of dimensions, my example was well made and accurate enough for most things. Machining to +/- .001" per 6 inches is doable. Held parts square to about half that tolerance, which is ok. As with all tooling, you will need to invest time setting it up to be accurate.
Wish it were made a little thicker, but it is a lot of vise for the price.
