I bought this to use with a mini mill. When I bought it I was concerned that it may be a little loose or sloppy. But when I received it and put it on the mill, it iwas better than I thought it would be. It is tight and accurate and has adjustments for tightness. All the surfaces on the vise are nice too. I previously had a large 6" vise of a different brand on a larger mill, but wanted something small for the mini mill.

Outstanding Vise, will last forever.

This vice will get the job done in most cases, and for the price it is worth buying as a "starter" vice. It is sturdy enough, and accurate enough for the home handyman, and the option is there to tweek it if you wanted to, but it is cheaply made, comes complete with swarf in the threads, little if any lubrication, and mine has very poor finish in the rotation scale. It also lacks VEE grooves in the jaws for gripping round stock, but I guess that is something one can machine themselves. Recommended as a starter vice, but you may want to spend time on improvements, or, buy a more expensive vice if you have the $$$s

great vice - it's big and it's heavy - unless you need the 6' opening, I'd go with the 5' - it's not a Kurt but you can have 6 of these for what one Kurt costs

Bought 2 of these vises. Seem to be very well built and a excellent choice for anyone not wanting to spend 500 $ plus on a Kurt etc. One arrived undamaged within the specified time, but the other arrived late with the box falling apart, several small parts missing. and the vise body dented up. I notified the seller and was helped in a timely manner with a replacement, good job! Would recommend.

Fits on my Benchmaster Horizontal mill perfectly. Ran an indicator across the jaws and top of vise and it didn_ even move. If you don_ want the swivel base you can take it off. Great value! Only complaint is the packaging. It_ pretty heavy and is shipped in a cardboard box that allows for the possibility of damage. Mine was fine though.
