The item came shipped as two different boxes and one arrived two days later than the other. That was a little confusing but no big deal.Mounting the scales takes a little bit of work, but there are some helpful videos that show good examples of how to do it.I was able to shorten the one meter scale to match the length of my table. I'm sure it voids the warranty and return, but it was as simple as milling the housing back to the length I wanted and redrilling the holes that the end cap screws into. The housing is extruded so it has the same profile anywhere along it's length. And the scale inside of the housing is just a piece of glass with graduations on it so you can shorten it to whatever is the optimal length.
