I'll save the inherent details of metal detecting assuming if you are reading this, you are a detectorist and are familiar with the difficulties in precision locating an object once found with your detectors large coil. Simply put, I wanted a reliable budget pinpointer although I wasn't sure if they even existed. Ideally, I'd cough up the $200CAD for the Garrett AT pro (garrett carrot) however I didn't want to pay that price right now and couldn't find a used one for sale anywhere near me. I have seen Vevor tool reviews online and the many people have had positive experiences. They offer budget versions of thousands of products. I figured if I spent $35CAD and it was a flop, it'd be a lesson learned and I'd just bite the bullet on a premium brand pinpointer. Well, let me tell you, I am very impressed with this pinpointer. It arrived in 3 days securely boxed and wrapped in bubble wrap. It included a soft carrying case which I don't need and a tether I may or may not use (might buy a longer one). That aside, it came with strong belt holster which appears to be stitched canvas. It fits securely inside and it's a great added bonus. It also came with 2 cheapo batteries but I intend to buy some rechargeable li-ion 9v's soon. The only thing I don't like is you can't independently turn off the little light. It would be a good option to save battery but again, it's a 'budget' product so I am fine with that. That said, for power saving, the whole pinpointer shuts off after sitting dormant for 5 min so that helps in the long run. They clearly copied th
