I bought this to hold small parts when grinding and sanding. Works really well, just flip the lever and reposition work and remagnetize and keep going.

This item arrived obviously used, missing the label and damaged. It did not work. I immediately contacted the company to do a return and sent them pictures of the damaged item. after several frustrating days of poor communication I was offered $20 to keep the $137 item. I said no, I wished to return it for a full refund since it was used, damaged, and inoperable. I was then offer $41. Again I said no. I was offered $82, I said no. They told me it might take several weeks to get a refund. I replied that if they could immediately refund the $82 to my card then they could immediately refund the entire price. This is what they ultimately did after 2 weeks of fighting with Vevor. I asked for a return label to send the item back and they said just throw it away. Imagine my surprise when they asked for a review:) I will never deal with this company again.

Makes it easy to hold flat parts.

I bought this just to hold parts off the plasma table to clean them up. Works a treat! I also use it on the drill press with the part hanging off the side.

Bought to add to milling machine to machine /grind shims. On really thin small material has good holding strength but requires a fence to assist from any slip. On larger ferrous material magnetic strength is not an issue and has good holding of the item. No issue with item and bought at a fair price. Again Vevor has very quick delivery times. Would recommend.

Great magnetic vice. The packaging could be a lot better as mine was slightly damaged during transit. Nothing major but it definitely requires better packaging for transport. I chamfered the edges and holes on the base and put it on my granite surface plate and ran the dial gauge across the face. Less than .001" deviation on the length (.00075" in fact) and .0004" on the width. Impressive for the price.
