good but could be better

This is my second mag drill purchased from Vevor and both work well. This one was purchased for a very specific low profile job into a PFC, that the first wouldn't fit into. Don't get me wrong the drill worked well, the problem is the width which measures in at 140mm including the two side sockets that you use to move the drill up and down. The advertised size is 100 mm, which is the width of the body only. I spoke to Vevor support to see if the socket that is not in use could be removed and unfortunately it cant. This meant I had to angle the drill into the job which wasn't ideal grab for the magnet, so the task took far longer than it should have. I would suggest being able to remove the sockets would be an improvement and give better access to small spaces.

Product broke & horrible customer service

The product broke after trying to use it the first time. The worst part of the process is getting them to fix it. They will send parts to try to repair the product which is understandable but it takes 3 weeks almost a month just to get the parts. The product didn’t work even after replacing the part they sent and customer support doesn’t understand urgency and complete dissatisfaction of customer. We respond to them and they would respond back as if they have never read what we wrote to them. Horrible people to deal with to try to get a working item you can use. They don’t respond to any concern regarding returning the item and just replacing it with a working product. They kept offering $20 or $90 credit for a $319 product that we cannot use. They did not agree to giving a full refund until I told them I will write a review of product and company and file a complaint to BBB

The weld shop

This mag drill is awesome. I bought this for my welding department and it is going to save a lot of time. It cuts clean accurate holes that are straight with no burr. The cutting oil system works well. I don't have to worry about my guys forgetting to apply oil. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Best mag drill in this price range.

Absolutely great tool. Tons of power, the gibs are nice and snug, all the parts fit... I've used a number of other mag drills. Most recently an Evolution and a Jancy Slugger. This is a better tool by far. To those who are complaining about wobble in the quick release either got a bad fit, have damaged/worn out cutters, or just have no idea what this tool is for. The new annular cutters I bought fit perfectly in the quick release and have very little runout. This is NOT a drill press or a milling machine. A few thousandths of runout is normal and acceptable in this kind of tool. That said, it drills VERY true.
