My garden is 30‘ x 30‘ and I use a Rototiller to prepare the soil. While the Rototiller is excellent at preparing the soil, it leaves a lot of unevenness to deal with. I used to use a standard raque to rake it even and that took hours. Out of desperation, I ordered the 30 inch wide soil leveler. The change in time and effort to smooth out the garden was unbelievable. It took me two passes over the soil to even it out Because the first pass does a good job but some hills and Valleys still exist. So a little shoveling fixed that and then I leveled it again and it was a beautiful thing. What used to take me four or five hours took me 45 minutes. You quickly learn how to change the angle the pole makes with the rake, and it depends upon the way the soil is depending if it’s the valley or level or a little hill.
