This maker makes ice and makes it in large quantities. If that's the goal, it has succeeded. I have installed mine in my laundry room, tapping into the water supply line from the washing machine with no issues.

Absolutely worth it! Operating is simple the ice lasts for a long time and it is quite. I seen a few reviews on the noise… the only thing I can say is that it puts off some heat at first as it is running full tilt till the hopper gets full.
