Overall, I'm happy with the strength and sturdiness of the shelves. The gloves, tiny hammer, and floor guards provided were not very useful though. You need a real mallet (not the tiny one they provide) and some good, hard swings to put this together, but it's very doable for one person. I wrapped my mallet in a hand towel to protect its soft surface, because you're hitting the edge of the metal not a flat piece. You could also put a piece of wood (like a section of a 2x4 if you have one) on the edge of the metal and hammer the wood, so the wood will get grooves hammered into it (instead of your mallet) from the metal. Put the frame together before adding the \"shelf\" pieces. They don't have to be added before the frame is done, but it definitely makes a lot more noise when you start putting together the next level after adding the shelf to the level before. I figured the little \"guard\" things were a thick rubber, like my mallet, but they're some kind of thin, brittle plastic. They look like they were 3D printed. I bought rugs to go under my shelves instead of trusting these things. For the 4 corners at the top of the shelves, I might line them with hot glue instead of using these; I think the hot glue would be less likely to break off, and it would be easy to remove from the metal if I didn't like it. But the tops of the 4 corner posts will definitely need something before I can put a fabric cover over the shelves, otherwise they would easily rip any type of covering. Obviously, they end up being heavy when assembled. So, put the base together and put it where you want your shelf to go, and build up from there so you don't have to move the whole thing later. Luckily, it can be taken apart for the next time I move apartments.

My order was not shipped until four days after the delivery date. Customer service apologized for the inconvenience but didn't do anything to make things right. Due to the tardy order, my project fell behind three weeks, and Vevor declined my request to expedite the shipment or offer a discount due to their mistakes. Take your business elsewhere. I will no longer support this company.

Step one is to put plastic caps on all the ends of the support beams (main four posts at each corner). Then after this there's a note that it's only for the ends. What it SHOULD have said is to pick four beams (each corner is two support beams connected together to make the full height, the shorter version only has one beam for each corner) and put caps on what will be the bottom. And yet even here you don't know which end is up or down because all through the instructions there's no good images that are close ups to let you see ANY detail except for the one showing you how to put the plastic caps on the support beams. It comes with 16 plastic caps, there are 8 beams, so one could assume you put a plastic cap on the end of each beam. But you can't assemble it with caps on each end. So, a person wrote these instructions that knows English words, but has NO IDEA how to use them or how those words apply to putting something together, so MAYBE this company could first think about how to assemble the unit, realize that not everyone is mechanically gifted, make instructions that are clear and have pictures that show CLOSE UPS because there are various point when you just have to figure things out on your own. So that's issue one. Luckily I was able to figure it out after 10 - 15 minutes of thinking about how this thing SHOULD go together but then I've assembled lots of stuff over my life time. What I pointed out was one of a few places where the instructions had issues. Issue two is harder to deal with, IF you need a shelf surface that's flat. Typically on a shelf like this (wire, criss-cross to make a rectangular pattern), there will be 2 - 4 heavier gauge wires to give strength to the shelf, and those are on the bottom of the shelf so they don't interfere with having a flat top surface. But Vevor added them to both the top and bottom of the shelves, so you don't have a flat surface no matter how you put the shelf on. That's a problem for me personally because n

Bought 3 of these shelves for storage of special tools, and parts. Assembly quickly and easily and are much sturdier than I expected. Will probably be buying more in the future.

A great value for the price

This shelf holds plenty of weight and allows one to customize the height of each shelf. I installed it in a closet that was just 1/4 inch wider than the shelf itself. A second person is useful for getting it started, but I did it without help. All pieces fit perfectly.
