First impressions: solid wood, study. Added benefits : Comes with stabilizers for extra support. Also came with additional hinges which is nice if you would like to affix it to a wall. No assembly required, other than putting the floor bumperrs on the bottom to prevent scratches Ease of use Extra long for wise spaces as you can see in the picture Great product for containing pets. If you have a rambunctious dog I don't think this is the gate for you. Overall great buy for the quality of product.
