Easy and effective
You’re going to want to use a cordless impact wrench for assembling this. The instructions aren’t the clearest but all the parts come bagged and organized. Once it’s built, tow it around with your rider mower to collect dead grass. It’s pretty easy to raise and lower the rake while driving. I don’t think you need concrete blocks but a couple of small logs gave adequate weight to grab the thatch from my lawn. I think this is the best dethatcher for the price and would recommend

Amazing tool, so easy to use.
The assembly may have been a bit difficult following the images provided. However, once assembled it is sturdy, and does a fantastic job. I have over an acre of grass and this made my chore a breeze. The new seed planted is now coming up better than ever before. I highly recommend.

Performs as advertised. Takes a minute to put together.
I am slightly reluctant to rate this five stars because I don't personally believe anything should get 5 stars unless it changes the world. But with so few ratings overall, I don't feel good about down-rating it just to suit my personal foibles. This isn't a precision instrument, but performs acceptably well for a reasonable price. The assembly instructions suck. A half-dozen bad 3d drawings with part numbers. NO \"instructions\" at all. You'll spend a LONG time staring at them trying to figure out WHAT you're supposed to be looking at, but they are (barely) enough to give you the information you need, assuming you'd probably be able to assemble it eventually, even without them. I *think* I got it together right. Close enough, at least. I dragged it around my yard once. It picked up some sticks and leaves, and scratched some furrows in the dirt that I will optimistically call \"aeration.\" This is kinda what I was looking to do, as I've used a bagger for years, so don't really have much \"thatch\" accumulation. If you put some weight on it, somewhere I read they recommend 70 lbs, your furrows will be a little deeper. The lever to raise/lower the wheels is kinda wiggly and so not particularly sturdy, but if you understand what it is trying to do (raise/lower the wheels so you can get to where you're going without scratching the hell out of everything between here and there), and kind of helpfully guide it, it works sufficiently well. I don't see using this more than a couple of times per year, so it should last until I eventually lose interest. At the very least, it entertained me for a couple hours on a beautiful summer afternoon while I was putting it together.

Works great in North Georgia
Dethatched for the first time in 15 years. Wow! Had to keep stopping and removing clumps of thatch from the tines. Hope i don't need to do that every time; hoping its only because it was so thick. Worked great on a large yard. Hoping the grass recovers and fills in some of the spots that are bare now. Got a large amount of thatch for my compost. Instructions were easy to follow but the diagrams were small and I found it hard to see what direction the bolt heads were supposed to go. I think I put some upside down because the nuts were sticking up into the tray where the bricks are so they wouldn’t sit flat. The rubber handle is useless. It kept sliding off any time I moved the lever. Attaching the tines required bending tabs by banging with a hammer and block of wood. Paint came off many of the tabs so it will require painting to prevent rust.

Works as expected
Easy set up. Worked as advertised. Speed is your friend.

Actually I like the equipment, especially for the price. However, the packaging contained 2 pieces that I eventually was told they were not needed. They were even included in some of the videos, but I still couldn't figure it out until after several contacts with customer service, they said the pieces were not needed. Overall it's a good buy

Useful Tow Behind Attachment!
Got this to pull behind my 48\" mower - I have way too many attachments and figured why not add another to the list. I'm kind of split on this. I have an electric dethatcher that works great - one of those cheapy Sun Joe units. It gets the job done, and does it pretty well. It also collects the thatch which is nice. There's no doubt that this covers 100 times as much area in the same amount of time, but the rotating motor action on the electric units definitely works better. If you have a heavy thatch you need to remove, this is going to do it, but for regular maintenance this is probably perfect. I wish it had some sort of \"action\" to the rake, but for what it is, it's a great product.

Dethatcher
The Vevor Tow Behind Dethatcher works ok, needs extra weight to make it more stable. I have strapped a couple of old fence posts to it with tough straps. Can be awkward to move around once the extra weight is applied.

Wide dethatcher for pulling behind tractor or mower
This dethatcher is as advertised, but will take time to assemble. The parts when shipped can be scattered about, but mostly are there. This item may need follow-up with the merchant, but they are responsive. Recommended for utility.

Effective dethatcher with convenient features.
The VEVOR TBD100 is a powerful dethatcher that does a great job of removing thatch from your lawn. The 40-inch width and 20 spring steel tines ensure efficient coverage, and the lift handle makes it easy to maneuver. While it might be a bit heavy to attach to a mower, it's a good choice for those using an ATV. Overall, if you're looking for a reliable dethatcher, the VEVOR TBD100 is a solid option.
