I only used it 3 times and it stopped working. Had about 2 hrs total run time. It started making a poping and sizzling sound when I turned it on and it's not even trying to run.

For the price I was not expecting much but I must say I was surprised by the quality and feel of the unit and with all the adapter s there is not much you can't do. I will say all the attachments needed adjustment and attention to fitment and lube. Like the plunge attachment would not plung . I had to take apart readjust and even sand some areas to make it work easy and smooth. For under 80 bucks I was surprised it even turned on lol .

It is often said that when you buy power tools, you get what you pay for This router falls into the category "cheap and cheerful", but in my case, it simply isn't usable The 1/4" collet that comes with it is far too tight so there is no way of inserting a 1/4" router bit into it, short of actually taking the collet out and forcibly pushing the router bit into it. I have attempted to file a complaint with support and whilst I get system generated canned emails back, I still haven't been honoured with a response from any individual, let alone been offered a solution All I can suggest is stay from this router and buy the original Makita (which this one is a poor copy of)

IT looks nice and has the grunt but unfortunately the router bits keep flying out due to the nut being loose. I have tightened the nut to the max but it keeps coming loose somehow. You have to fight with sleeve to remove the router so to change the bit. Maybe due to my lack of experience I am finding it tough to operate.

LOL....after receiving the tracking# and watching days of shipping updates the router vanished without a trace. AMAZING! I did receive a full refund after a week later so I guess all's well that ends well....LOL :_)
