I've had an abrasive cut off saw (14"), I had an Evolution Rage 3, Cold Cut Saw, (7 1/4"). The abrasive saw i dread to use, the noise, the mess, the smoke alarm, sparks, and the black metalic residue that gets everywhere, for a mediocre, jagged, and dangerous cut, usually about 500 degrees. So Ive been using a 6 inch angle grinder to cut everything. Then, i saw this cold cut saw, and saw the reviews, its worth every penny. Slow start, no jerky pull to contend with. Its loud, but not unbearable, when you feel the ease of the blade making its way through various stock, you will be glad you bought it. Decent sized metal chips, i use a magnet to clean up and it makes quick work, no smoke, just clean, cool to the touch, nearly weld ready cuts. If you do any volume of metal work, treat yourself, youll be glad you did.
