VEVOR HC5358-3 Front Mount Hydraulic Outboard Steering Cylinder Ram Up To 300HP

I had been looking for a hydraulic steering kit for my boat for a while. Came across Vevor, asked questions, loved the price, pulled the trigger and ordered. Very nice kit but instructions are lacking in detail. A more simplified detailed orientated instructions would’ve been helpful. Not real clear on how the hoses hook up, doesn’t say what type of hydraulic fluid to use. Overall great kit.

I replaced the steering in my boat because it was time. The shop wanted $3500.00 to put there steering system in. Went home and got to looking and found this steering system. Got it, installed it in my Proline 230 center console with a Mercury 225 optimax in under an hour. I have used other steering systems that cost 7 times what this system cost me and they are not as smooth when turning the helm. There is no lag, no sticky feeling, it is very responsive. It has been on my boat for a year now and there are no issues or complaints. The instructions are very simple and easy to understand (if you need them). Other than the labels and the difference in feel, there is no difference in materials from the high dollar system to this one. If I need another one in the future I will come right back to VEVOR!

I have a season and a half on this and it has been working great. I have a 22’ pontoon with 115 hp engine that came with cable steering. This unit makes the steering so much easier.

This is a game changer, if you're tired of fighting with old cable steering, I highly recommend. Put this on my 2008 Nitro z7 with 150hp optimax and it's amazing. Easy to install took a few hours to remove the old and put in the new. Was worth every penny.

Steers my pontoon perfectly, it's is so much smoother that the original steering and 0 kickback.it is well worth the money.

so far so good. have it on my tunnel hull with a merc 225 3 liter. speeds over 70 mph still felt very solid
