I purchased this unit over 5 years ago. I use it at least 3x a week to make distilled water for drinking, CPAP, and watering my plants. It's been a reliable and hard working distiller, and it makes clean distilled water. Just descale it occasionally and replace the filters as recommended and you'll never be disappointed.

I purchased a second one, in case the first one stops working. I don’t ever cook or drink anything unless my water is distilled.

I purchased this distiller for my Cpap machine. We have very hard water here so we tried the distilled water in our coffee pot. What a difference it made in the taste! Very easy to clean. Just pour some vinegar in the bottom and let it sit for about an hour. Then fill the water chamber and let it sit overnight. Rinse and it’s ready to go. We are very pleased with our purchase.

No more running after distilled water in store. Wife loves the clean taste.

I bought several Hey Dewy humidifiers this winter and soon realized we needed to buy quite a lot of distilled water to operate them without causing buildup and damage. We bought maybe 10 gallons at the store before I had done my research and purchased this distiller. I'm glad I did buy those because now I have lots of convenient jugs to fill! I run this as often as needed, using some extra space we have in the room with a big slop sink and our overflow fridge and freezer. You will want to set it up near a power outlet and a sink, and keep a towel handy for those times that you remove the lid to refill. You can easily wipe out the tank with some paper towels - ours has a bit of rust-colored residue in the bottom after one cycle but not too much. It shuts off nicely on its own. It also puts off quite a bit of heat which in the winter time is very welcome. In the summer I will probably need to open the window in the room where this is set up, or else the AC will have to compensate for the heat this is releasing. The investment was well worth it, and if even I find it easy to use then it truly is EASY TO USE. A very sturdy and capable little machine, and easy on the eyes as well (I purchased the red color). Very happy! :-)

This water distiller is awesome. I'm taking liquid supplements that require distilled water be added. This does the job. I drink the water too. Fine taste.

I'm glad I made this purchase. I've had it for 3 months now and run it constantly. It seams to be a workhorse.

I've made 3 pots now and it works great. Hard to get the handle on tho when first putting together but I got there. I like the ease of cleaning it as well. I actually did recommend to my brother and he likes his as well.

The reason for purchase was to reduce the cost and trips to the store for dislilled water. As others have mentioned the distilling process goes quicker if you begin with hot water. It takes between 3-4 hours to fill the 3,000 ml pitcher with distilled water when starting with hot tap water. I purchased this to have a ready supply of water to add to my humidifiers. Eliminated the white dust on the furniture from regular tap water. The glass pitcher is a plus, no putting hot water into plastic. That said, the pitcher is difficult to pour from. I find pouring it from the side rather than the spout makes it a bit easier. Another reason I purchased this particular distiller was the fact that it is stainless steel. After several uses rust spot circles began to form in a half circle around the bottom where the heating element is. Customer service was prompt and suggested boiling citric acid water in it. That seems to work so far and removes the rust. When running, the fan is a little loud. I have it in the kitchen so noise there is not an issue for me. The fan puts out warm air. Time will tell, but am hoping this lasts awhile.
