I bought this to provide distilled water at home for my humidifiers. Works and looks great, provides almost 1 gallon in about 4 hours. It shuts itself off after the tank is empty so there is no danger of it running while empty. However, the carafe sustained a major crack and I had to toss it (the manufacturer provided a refund for the price of a new carafe as they had no replacements) so I placed a stock pot under the drip line and covered it loosely with foil. This machine is a bit noisy, and does produce heat (but no steam) so place it where you won't be disturbed by the noise. Overall, I would purchase again but a model with a plastic carafe.

This distilling unit is easy and quick to assemble and use. Cleaning is also simple. There is a fan which forces air past a heat exchanger on the top, but it is not noisy.My unit came with a defective glass jar, which developed cracks during the first use. I contacted the seller, however, and they paid to replace the jar with a glass bowl to do the same job. I appreciate this from the seller.

It works well and has a glass container to catch the water which I love. A little noisier than I want but works well.

I have been wanting this machine for a while now and so excited to have it now! I used to buy the gallons of distilled water and now I don't need to do that anymore. Its super simple and easy to use and clean, so fresh distilled water comes easily. I just let it run overnight or in the morning before I leave the house. Love this :)

Great product. This is a compact, single button distiller which produces excellent water. The taste is awful until oxygenated - I hooked up a fish oxygen pump and it is in the reservoir bubbling during distillation and the flavour is much improved. I add minerals to it when it’s done, the 7 ppm is impressive in the final product - you can see the rust and calcium in the concentrate left behind in the machine. The pH does settle to 7 and can be alkalised with a pinch of bicarbonate.It puts of a lot of heat, I relocated it to the outside utility room where the heat doesn’t make the air conditioning work harder, and it doesn’t take up counter space constantly. I am very impressed.

This thing is awesome. I went through a lot of the reviews on different brands and settled on this one because 1.) very inexpensive 2.) has a start and stop button 3.) comes with the cleaning detergent crystals 4.) the top has a handle, making it much easier to clean and refill, 5.) it has charcoal packets to give a final filter to the water past distillation. Came fast and well packaged. I bought it to distill water for my opal nugget ice maker. My water was so hard even filtered it was clogging up the opal and required weekly vinegar cleanings. Since buying this and distilling my own water, the opal runs like a champ, no cleanings needed in over a month.I also bought a mechanical timer, I set it to 3.5 hours and leave a little of the water in the bottom so the minerals don’t bake on. I still get white film/haze all over the metal inside, but that cleans off just fine with the cleaning crystals included. The film does not impact the taste of the water at all, and I’ve cleaned the machine only once in the 1.5 months I’ve had it.I have drank the water as well, it’s really good, especially with the crystal clear nugget ice made from it as well.You will not regret the minimal investment in this awesome machine.

The quality of the build is very good both aesthetically and functionally. Unsure of the choice for a glass container for the distillate as it’s likely to break from use. I only used it twice so far and while I cannot comment on long term reliability of product it has worked nicely so far. Instructions on cleaning and assembling the glass jar handles could be better.
