Love it
Have been looking at cutters for some time and this one works great for cutting chipboard, cutting through magazines, and bulk paper.

cutter
The cutter is of excellent quality. Two things are lacking - the grid measurements are metric, with only a minor acknowledgement of "inch", and there is not a useful manual. It would be helpful to have some safety instructions and a diagram of blade replacement. I would like to know know if there are any adjustments for the blade angle. Since I am familiar with large power cutters, it is not a problem for me, but most people need more information.

Great Product
I bought this cutter for cutting books for Fujitsu Scansnap. I knew scanning is very fast, so I thought cutting books will be a bottle neck. But using this cutter, I can cut books very fast. Now I have so many cut books waiting for scanner to finish scanning. Must buy for scanning books.

I have owned this cutter for about a year now. Each month we cut hundreds of stacks of brochures and flyers and I am always amazed at how precise and clean the cuts are. Not to mention easy to use. We had owned about half a dozen different cutters before finding this one and they were all either tedious, ineffective and utterly useless with sloppy cuts that were difficult to align and jagged edges. This manual machine is very easy to operate and after a year of use it still cuts through stacks like butter. If you own a small business and are looking for a good cutter, you can stop looking, this one is it. This is undoubtedly one of the best purchases I have made for my business!

Cuts through thick stacks of paper like butter. Well built, I expect it will last for a long time.

I bought this to cut stacks of 80lbs card stock. This thing really cuts heavy paper in big quantities with precision.

Great Item for the Price
I preface this by saying that you do get what you pay for. This is probably not the paper cutter for you if you plan to use this as a central part of your job on a daily basis. However, this is a great product at a great price for people who need a good paper cutter for regular use. It is definitely a large and heavy item, but it seems very well built and I don't need to question the mechanical integrity of this paper cutter. I am thoroughly impressed with how easily this paper cutter goes through a couple hundred pieces of paper -- "like butter" as some might way. I am also impressed with how well it keeps the paper in place as it cuts.I will admit that this paper cutter could be a pain if you have to make frequent changes to dimensions as you cut and that you need to be very careful that the dimension guide is set up squarely. It can be a little finicky. My largest qualm with this product is that it did not come with instructions on how to set it up or use it. I was able to search online and find YouTube videos that helped, but there was a bit of an intuitive learning curve associated with it.Otherwise... it's good for what I use it for as a hobby bookbinder and paper crafter.

As advertised - well built product
This product arrived ahead of the scheduled time. It is very well built, feels industrial grade. I tried it immediately upon receiving it, it will cut thru stacks of paper in one slice, and very little effort. The design along with several built in mechanisms and guards, will help to prevent hands from easily accessing the cutting blade. I'm really impressed with the initial performance and quality of the product.

Great for book binding.
I bought this for hand book binding. Folding pages into folios requires a flat even-pressured edge-cut.This cutter has fixed slide for securing distance from blade and vice for holding folio firm to make repeated cuts.Works well and solid construction.

Cuts Stacks of Paper Like Butter
Bought thermal binding glue strips for binding my own paperback volumes. My books are only about 40/50 pages, so it only takes 1/4 of one of these strips (cut long-ways with a utility knife) to bind a book. In fact, they are a tiny bit longer than my books are tall, so I can put together the ends I trim off to make a 5th book out of a single strip. That ends up being about $0.20/book for glue. Not bad!I am using 11x17 cover stock parchment (printed on an Epson WF7610) to print the covers, and a Fellowes thermal binder to bind them. Don't make the mistake of trying to print covers for an 8x10 book on a smaller printer, and make sure the printer can print on thick stock. Make sure the glue strips don't leak out the ends of the book spine, or it will mess up your thermal binder. I use the top of a butter knife (you can buy a folding bone if you want to spend money) to score the edges of the spine to get a sharp, straight edge. Finally, use a stack paper cutter to trim the edges of the books so they have that clean-cut, professional look.
