I bought this to use for our first honey extraction. I feared it would be hard to use and that I would have to hand crank for a long time. But I didn’t want to spend a ton of money on an electric one and didn’t know where I would even plug it in. It was actually very easy and I only had to crank for a few minutes each time. I didn’t realize that I needed to turn the frames so the first two frames I had took a little longer. Once I figured it out it was a piece of cake. It is light weight, easy to use and the hand crank is easy and smooth.

Spinning honey is sticky and a r4eal mess. This manual extractor has made it doable for small bee keepers. I have used it every year and am so pleased with it. If its off balance my husband applies more pressure on the top.

I like that it can be disassembled for easy cleaning. I would recommended you mount this to the floor or a base with the pre drilled holes. If you don’t the unit has a slight wobble while cranking.

Certainly worth the price. Works as advertised, easy-clean in the backyard with a garden hose. Spins only for frames, not cassettes/cartridges.

Extractor works fine but legs are a little flimsy. Unless bolted down the exterior moves around a lot.

Lo smielatore si monta con facilità e funziona bene nella parte meccanica. Per un apicicoltore hobbista con 3 arnie, come me, è perfetto. Unica cosa ricordatevi che lavorando con la forza centrifuga, non appena aumentate i giri, se le gambe non sono assicurate al terreno, avrete qualche difficoltà a tenerlo fermo. Ci sono infatti i fori nei piedini ed una volta azionato si capisce il perché della loro presenza. Io personalmente ho risolto avvitandolo ad un bancale che mi ha evitato di abbracciare lo smielatore per evitare che cadesse.

Works pretty well, but needs to be an inch or two deeper. Frames would bang against the cross bar at the top.
