Metal poles, good net that won't rip at the top due to the attachment method. Nice that the ropes to tighten it are attached to real stakes and the rope is actually large enough to pull nice and tight. Overall, much better than the cheap plastic ones, really no comparison.

The set arrived this morning! It was very easy to assemble and we had a blast playing. The net and system appears to be sturdy and well made; needed no adjustments after setup and a couple of hours of play. We plan to take down after every use and will follow-up in a few months about experienced durability.
