Ordered on Monday, delivered on Tuesday. No issues, need to fabricate some copper tubing to connect, but looks like it will meet my needs. WCF.

Quick and Quiet
This compressor pump runs quieter than my other compressor perhaps due to a foam air filter as opposed to a paper type , and it builds up quickly . The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it doesn't have a crankcase vent and that makes it take the better part of 2 hours to fill it with oil with much spillage . Changing the oil will be a chore . I've never had one without a vent before . The oil cap serves as the running vent so it works well but without a separate vent to allow air to escape the crankcase the thing just takes forever to fill up . J.B.

great at first, but time will tell
Downside is no directions as to type of oil, how much, bolt pattern, break-in and things like that. I was worried about the packaging as a lot of them arrive damaged and I can see why. Mine came wrapped in some white foam, but I was lucky it was not damaged. A few of those air bags would have made the packaging much better. It took forever to put the oil in it (it takes a quart). Pour it in through the orange relief valve SLOWLY. I used some synthetic compressor oil that runs about 10 bucks on amazon. I ran it for a half hour with the valve open to break it in like my DeWalt said to do on my other compressor. This pump replaced a pump on a Husky 60 gallon tank. Mounting was not a straight bolt-on, but if you are using a compressor, you should have no issues with this. I had to redrill the mounting holes for the pump and the motor. Rerouting the line from the pump to the tank just required a couple of compression fittings and some 1/2" copper tube and pipe bushings I had laying around. I like the cooling fins on the discharge air to the tank. All pumps should have that. The flywheel was aluminum and very light. I consider this a plus as it cools the pump as it spins and reduces start up torque. The pump did not get as warm as I expected. I had a 3.5 " pulley on the motor so with the 10.5" pump pulley, it took a little bit longer to press up, but not bad. Quieter than my Dewalt, but it's not working as hard either. I plan to hook the two compressors together for a large reserve of 120 gallons and lots of airflow. The pump says it will press to 115 psi, but that is really dependent on the set pressure on the control. Mine runs to 125-135 psi before the pump shuts off. Time will tell if the unit holds up, but initially it seems like a good buy. I would like to know how the one reviewer actually contacted this Happybuy place (and got GREAT results) as I could not find any contact information at all.

Great for the $ if you know what you're doing!
Like many Amazon reviews you must assess the reviewers understanding of product to determine if it is a fair assessment.Seems most of the negative reviews for this pump are likely from a lack of understanding how to properly install & setup.Granted the manufacturer/ distributor isn't doing themselves any favors by not including instructions on the issues which should be checked out prior to pump installation - even if they don't provide detailed instructions. The reviews of failed units are more likely attributed to failure to check the following prior to installation.1. PROPERLY match motor to pump. By true amp draw & not just stated HP SPL.2. Test your presure switch & unloader.Make sure you T off for the unloader line.3. Remove & clean check valve.4. Don't just use your old pulley & expect magically its going to run at the proper RPM - actually DO the RPM calculation & get the CORRECT pulley size.5. Check for burrs & manufacturing /machine defects & repair PRIOR to installation. YES - This is on you as the installer -6. Properly align motor & pump pulley. That's most of the items & if you don't understand any than either research or bring it to a qualified service professional.Ignorance & failure to properly diagnose, engineer & install the pump shouldn't be a reflection on the product. Take responsibility for your workmanship.

Good pump, need to add a over temp sensor
I installed on a 60 gallon tank, works well, can get pretty hot, I monitor and plan to add a temp sensor to shut down for protection

Works very well and significantly quieter than original
Had an old Campbell Hausfeld 60 gal, 6 hp that pump went out on and too many parts were unavailable to mess with trying to repair it. Installed this pump ... obviously not a direct fit, had to drill new holes to mount this and then move the electric motor to line up pulleys and allow a new belt to fit (used a 47", 1/2" V belt). a little difficult to plumb the copper line to check valve. You can buy flexible stainless braided, but they are pricey. Had a bad check valve as well. Now back on line and better than it's been for many years. The quietness compared to original pump is a significant plus as well.
